Match Analysis:

Defense:
Tottenham's defense had been on a bad run of form, but they managed to keep a clean sheet against Wolfsberger AC. They took care of their defensive duties without many errors.

Doherty and Davies provided some attacking support as they tried to cross the ball into the box many times. They managed to do their part defensively as well.

Dier and Aldeweireld were good at the back. They stopped multiple shots and were able to regain possession of the ball on multiple occasions.

There wasn't much action for Hart since there weren't many shots being fired at him.

Midfield:
The midfield duo of Winks and Sissoko were very mediocre today. The duo were given a chance to prove themselves from being "fringe players", but they failed to impress.

Winks made many successful passes going forward, but stayed anonymous for most of the game. However, he took part in the lead up to many goals. He took some shots at goal, but none were close to the target.

Sissoko provided strength and hold-up play to the Spurs defense and midfield. However, he looked quite slow against Wolfsberger which ultimately slowed down Spurs' attacking play.

Attack:
Tottenham's attack created many chances from the get-go. Many shots were being fired and successful dribbles were being made.

Vinicius went into the game to prove to Mourinho that he is ready for the Premier League. He scored 2 goals which helped Spurs comfortably beat Wolfsberger in the second leg. He held onto the ball which allowed the wingers to get in front of him. Overall, great performance from the Brazilian striker.

Bergwijn hasn't got a single goal to his name this season, so he tried to change that. He was able to make attempts at goal, but none resulted in a goal.

Lamela held onto the ball too long when there were multiple instances when he could've passed it to another player. However, he did take some shots that tested the keeper.

Alli displayed a Man Of The Match display against Wolfsberger. He was the focal-point of Spurs' attacking play and his performance was highlighted by a goal and an assist. He is slowly coming into the favor of Jose Mourinho and this match helped him make a case for himself to be playing in the Premier League.

When Bale came on, he provided dynamic support on the wing. He scored a great goal which boosted his confidence for future games to come.

It was Tottenham's first clean sheet after the 5-0 victory against Marine in the FA Cup. This win was much needed with the current state of the Spurs dressing room. Hopefully, the players' confidence would have gone up after this win. Tottenham progress to the Round of 16 in the Europa League
